I am a chef, but not a professional photographer, but I do like to take pictures of the meals I purchase. I will generally plate them just like you might, to show you how the meal will look on your own plate as you sit down and have it for lunch or dinner. One of my pet-peeves is when a website shows an amazing looking meal on their website, and then send you something that doesn't look anything like it. If you're purchased a burger from a fast food restaurant, then you know what I'm talking about.

First, I love that it cooks evenly in the microwave tray it comes in. That is something you generally only notice when it doesn't heat evenly. Then, you add another minute to the reheating process, and while what was undercooked is now done, what was don is now overcooked. The tray this meal came with cooked reheated the meal perfectly.
The chicken breast was a larger-then-average size, and it came out of the microwave moist. No one likes dry chicken. All dieters know that chicken will be common on a diet, but the true brilliance of this meal was in the fresh vegetables. Generally, people don't eat enough of them, which can leave people feeling hungry, and more likely to cheat on their diet.
This meal not only had fresh vegetables, they were blended with lentils, a great source of fiber. Instead of eating two or three side vegetables (boring) this blend was as satisfying to eat, as it was healthy. Since I had it for lunch at work, it was the perfect "power lunch" for me. It felt like I was eating a real-sized meal without starving myself, and from the viewpoint of a chef, I thought it was expertly prepared.
